The designer behind the pixels

Design is mynative language.

I'm Shijina Jalal — a Dubai-based designer blending modern aesthetics with advanced web technologies, crafting immersive, animated, high-performance websites for brands that want to stand out globally.

The short version

Precise. Artistic. Obsessed with the last 2%.

Dubai taught me that 'good enough' doesn't exist here. In a city building the future on a deadline, I learned to design experiences that match that ambition — websites that feel less like pages and more like places.

I work as a one-woman studio: you get my eyes on everything, from the first moodboard to the final Lighthouse audit. No account managers, no handoffs, no 'that's not my department'. Just design decisions made by the person who answers your messages.

Fluent in English and Arabic, at home in Figma and the terminal, equally comfortable art-directing a hotel's gold-leaf palette or architecting a fintech's design tokens.

The Journey

2019 → today.

  1. 2019

    Started the freelance journey

First clients, first all-nighters, first pixels shipped from a Dubai café with a borrowed laptop.

  2. 2020

    Specialized in UI/UX

Formal UX training, 15 product dashboards, and the realization that clarity is the ultimate luxury.

  3. 2021

    Introduced advanced animation

GSAP, WebGL and scroll-driven storytelling entered every project. Bounce rates fell; awards pages noticed.

  4. 2022

Dubai's go-to designer for luxury brands

Hotels, couture houses and real-estate groups — brands that sell feeling started calling.

  5. 2023

    Brand + build studios unite

Expanded from websites into full identity systems so every touchpoint speaks one visual language.

  6. 2024–26

    Award-level digital experiences

Motion-first, AI-search-ready websites featured across design galleries — and a growing waitlist.
